Dog Food Recall: Blue Buffalo & Wellness

Your BBB® would like to share important information for dog owners. Two brands of dog food are recalling some of their products due to concerning reports regarding higher than normal levels of thyroid hormone. According to the FDA, a high level of thyroid hormone can cause weight loss, restlessness, increased heart rate and frequent urination, diarrhea, vomiting and difficulty breathing.

These are the two types of food affected by the recall:
Wellness 95% Beef Topper for Dogs, 13.2 ounce can

What to look for: best-by dates of FEB 19, 29 AUG 19, or 30 AUG 19 located on the bottom of the can. If you purchased one of these cans, you can contact WellPet at wecare@wellpet.com or 1-877-227-9587.


Blue Wilderness Rocky Mountain Recipe Red Meat Dinner, 12.5 ounce can

What to look for: best-by date of June 7, 2019, located on the bottom of the can.
