Has Your Car Been Recalled?

Woman with Car Trouble on Her Cell PhoneYour Better Business Bureau (BBB) would like to make sure you’re aware that on October 17th Toyota announced a voluntary recall of over 800,000 vehicles from 2012-2013 including the model names Camry, Avalon, and Venza.

According to Toyota’s announcement, the concern involves the air conditioning housing leaking into the air bag control module. Toyota says the result of the leak could be a short that could trigger the airbag warning light or even cause problems with airbag performance including failing to deploy when needed or deployment when not needed. If this applies to your vehicle, please see the announcement for instructions for repairs and contact info for Toyota.

There are numerous vehicle recalls at any given time. To see if your vehicle has a recall, check with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and enter your vehicle information to search their database. You can also check the manufacturer’s website for any recall announcements.
