Indiana Attorney General Gives Top 10 List for Complaints

Pad of Paper & PenOn March 5th the Indiana Attorney General’s office issued its top 10 list for consumer complaints for 2012. This list differs from similar lists from agencies like the FTC as it is specific to complaints filed by Hoosiers with the Indiana Attorney General.

The top ten categories are as follows:

1. Used auto sales and service

2. Internet scams and sales

3. Debt collection

4. Lending and mortgage related

5. Home repairs and construction

6. Telemarketing calls

7. Identity theft

8. Retail stores

9. Landlord or tenant related

10. Wireless phone providers
