Interactive Voice Response Returns

For the past several months, your Tri-State BBB has operated without the service of an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service.  You may ask, “What is an IVR?  Simply put, it is a system whereby, consumers may contact the BBB 24 hours a day over the telephone to obtain business and charity information.  The information is very similar to the information you would see on our website.

The IVR is there for you when we’re not.  Of course, if you need personal assistance, you may opt to speak to a representative by pressing “0.” However, if you don’t have a touchtone phone, then just hold the line and your call will be routed to a representative who will assist you during normal business hours.  If your call is outside of normal business hours, you may leave a voicemail message and one of our representatives will return your call on the next business day.

One of the changes with our new IVR is that it has the capability to search for business reviews from across North America and, if the ten digit phone number that was entered matches, the IVR will read the report for you.

You may give it a try by calling our number, 812-473-0202 or toll-free from our 18-county service area, at 1-800-359-0979 and pressing “2″ from the main greeting.

We hope this service will be useful to everyone who needs immediate information on businesses or charities.  As always, we are also available on the internet at www.evansville.bbb.org.
