Your BBB® has learned that consumers who tried to access their NetSpend funds and had trouble activating these debit cards will soon be refunded. According to the FTC, NetSpend will send a notice to all these consumers through an email containing all the information an online form to claim the refund.
To be eligible, you have to do two things: apply to NetSpend and do so by October 7, 2017. If you get one of these emails, try to respond as soon as possible: NetSpend has agreed to mail these refunds within 30 days after receiving the request. If you think you should’ve received one of this emails but you haven’t so far, you are asked to contact the FTC at NetSpend@ftc.gov.
Very important: you don’t have to pay to receive a refund in an FTC case. If someone asks you to do so, please know that it might be a scam.
