Hoosiers looking for dependable, professional, licensed in-home care for a disabled or aging loved one now have a useful resource available to them, thanks to the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH).

Consumers looking for information about home health agencies now have a searchable database at their fingertips: the ISDH, Acute Care Division, inspects home health agencies to look at compliance with state and federal standards.

What this means is that you can look at a particular agency you are considering hiring to care for a loved on, or you can search by your city or county.  The consumer report has been developed to to help individuals make a choice based on evaluations and comparisons in services, licensing, administrator/ownership changes, substantiated complaints, and federal certification surveys.
